Unit 1 Pencils

My piece was Inspired by some of my  favorite artists. I wanted to create something that had a creepy feeling to it. Both the artist use creation and imagination to create a mind twisting piece. Frida expresses her emotions with a detail of gore. Some of these examples are down below. I chose Junji Ito as my current artist because of also his theme of horrors and

What went well: I think the blending of the flower and whites were pretty easy and knowing what colors to blend. It was good practice for me to learn how and where to put highlights.

What were the struggles: Blending the reds and figuring out where I should put the ripples in the clothing. I do not draw detailed clothing a lot so this was a challenge for me.
